POLICE FIRE ON STRIKERS.

New York, May B.> At Pottsville, Pennsylvania, during strike disturbances, Hie police fired on a mob of three thousand persons. Three men were fatally shot and numbers of others injured, including several police. A woman onlooker received a bullet in one of her iirras. The riot started when a colliery superintendent sought to take two strikebreakers in an automobile to work. TWO POLICEMEN KILLED. New York, Maj I. From San Diego, California, comes news Hint members of the Industrial Workers of the World, a Socialistic order, are fomenting industrial disturbances'along tho Pacific coast. They clashed with the police and armed citizens turned out when a riot call was Bounded. Many of the industrial workers were shot. In the melee two policemen were killed and several injured.
