At tho Titanic inquiry, by the Special Admiralty Court, Beecham, a fireman, said that when the vessel struck tho order was given to stop the engines and stand by. The watertight doors were closed within five minutes, and the fires drawn. His boat did not contain a compass, lamp, water, or provisions. SPEED OF THE TITANIC. London, May 7.' The bodies were found miles apart.
