SIR E. GREY IN DEFENCE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (E«c. May 9, 0.30 a.m.) London, May 8. In answer to several questions in the House of Commons respecting Mr. James Bryce's return to America as British Ambassador, Sir E. Grey said that Mr. Bryce will certainly return to Washington at the beginning of September. Mr. William Eedmond complained of the unfairness of attacking Mr. Bryce when ho was unable to reply. Sir E. Grey asked that the criticism should be directed towards the Government.
