CHINA WANTS A LOAN.
HARSH CONDITIONS IMPOSED. 3y Telezraph—Pros3 Association-Copyright (Rec. May 8, 11 p.m.) Peking, May 3. China requires 35,000,000 taels (about Ve4,100,000) in six weeks, for the purpose of disbanding 850,000 troops. The socalled Six Nations' Banks demand foreign supervision before they will grant the loan, and suggest that 'foreign military officers should witness the disbnndment. The Premier has refused the offer, but the Minister for Finance is negotiating in the matter. '
