LOCAL GOVERNMENT BILL
WAIIURAPA OPPOSITION. (By Tcleeraph.-Sperial Correspondent.) Masterton, May 8. At a meeting of representatives of Hie local authorities to-day, at which Mr. K. G. Eton presided, Messrs. A. J). M'Leod and W. J. Welch (chairman of the I'eatherston and Mastertou Comity Councils respectively) were appointed representatives of the Wairarnpn combined district at the. conference to bo held in "Wellington to discuss the proposed Local Government Bill. Tlid opinion of local delegates was strongly adverse to the measure.
