Mr. A. M'Kny, head gardener in the Government service in Wellington, who is retiring after thirty-eight years' service, was entertained on Tuesday night in the old I'ariiiimciitarj Buildings. M'Kay with a sideboard on behalf of the Public Works staff, referred to his popularity and good qualities. A dinner service 'was presented to Str. 51'Kay by Jlr. White, on behalf of the overseers nnil gardeners, and Jlr. Warner handed him an illuminated address.
