' : It was resolved to add to the rules that all draught stallions, entered at the. Carterton'Shou* be examined by a veterinary surgeon for defects .in tho feet. throat,'and elsewhere. It was also letoived to rccoiiimend the mcomini; committee. to consider the advisability ot establishing Carterton as a recognised stock centre. Mr. W. C. Buchanan, M.l 1 ., referring to tho-. dairy industry, suggested that dairy fanners should lake an example from the sheep-farmer, and use tho plough'..
