pir,— The statement by the Prime Minister that more Minister* are reiiuired to cope with the strenuous work will come as a staggering blow to all who have the welfare of the country at heart. Bill it is gratifying to knov.- that Mr. Ma>sey hit the nail on the head when he said that we have Ministers enough, ami that 1110 principal work is done by the permanent heads of tho Departments. This is very true. It looks as if the Premier wanted to create more portfolios (0 bo able to take in' certain individuals who may prove troublesome if left where they are, but lie need not worry. The Cabinet cannot stand, do what it may. This last suggestion, together with Mr. .Myers's statements c;i the Defence Act, ought to cause eyerv Labour vote to go pat against such sham Liberalism,--! am, etc.,
