CARTERTON ITEMS.
Messrs. E. Eagle, junr., W. A. Kitchen, ami A. J. Lindop, vicc-presidents of the Carterton Hockey Club, have each presented trophies if) the club. The settlers at Corrington are moving in tlie direction of getting Parker's JxilJ, in the Hinau Ciully Road, remorei!, or else the grade materially lowered. The present grade is too steep to ho workable, except with half load.--'.
