Sjj Stewed quinces. |j BRAISED LEG OF .MUTTON. ® One small leg of mutton, -4 carrots, 3 {?* onions, a bunch of savoury herbs, parsley, S) seasoning to taste, a few sliiees of bacon, Ho few veal trimmings, luilf-pint gravy. H Lino the bottom of a braising-pan wita a t® few slices of bacon, put in the carrots, S? onions, herbs, parsley, and seasoning, and S over these place the mutton. Cover the 3$ whole with a few more slices of bacon sj l . and the veal trimmings. Pour in the Hi gravy, and stew gently for four hour's. $5 Strain the gravy, reduce it to a ginze frfr oi'er a sharp fire, glaze the mutton with H it, and send it to table. I FOR TO-MORROW. ® Two pounds artichokes. 21b. steak, 2 j» sheep's kidneys. Parsnips.
