THE FRUIT INDUSTRY.
TRIAL SHIPMENT TO BUENOS AYHES. A pilot output of fruit is to bo shipped to Buenos Ayres by the Hawke's Bay Fruitgrowers' Co., Ltd., in tho steamer Kemuera, which is to leave Wollingion on Jlay U. The consignment, which is to comprise 500 cases of apples, will bo graded and packed under the-superintend-ence of the Government inspectors, and tho varieties of apples will bo Dougherty's, Stunners, Kome Beauties, and either Jonathans or Spitzborgens. Tho fruit is to (he order of Mr. J. A .Bosk™, who was recently on a visit to New Zealand, ami if the"venture is a success it is understood that greater attention will be paid to exporting fruit next season.
