IRONMOULDERS THREATEN WAR. EBj Telearapli-Press Assnclatton.i Christchurch, May 5. The Ironworkers' Union communicated recently with tho Defence Ministor concerning the compulsory clauses of the Defence Act. Tlie reply did not pleaso the union, and it is now proposed that tho following resolution be submitted to a plebiscite of the members:— '"That. the federated ironmonldere of New Zealand will cease production on and after Labour Day next unless tho compulsory clauses of the Defence Act are repealed, and that other union 3 nnd societies bo asked to take similar action." '
