CIVIC ELECTIONS.
SUPPLEMENTARY ROLL CLOSED* The supplementary roll, compiled in con' nection with the forthcoming City Couaw cil election, was closed yesterday. _ Thd enrolment claims handed in total a iittla over eight hundred. Yesterday afternoon a meeting of women supporters of Mr. E. Tregcar s candidature for the City Council was held at the Trades llnll. Preliminary arrangements were made for carrying on the campaign. A committee was formed and a largo number 01 persons willing io assist handed in their names. A further .meeting will bs held early next week.
