CRIME IN SYDNEY.
EXTRA POLICE NEEDED. By Telceraph-Prees Sydney, May 1. The recent wave of burglary and other crimes has led tho Inspector-General of Police to apply to the Government for permission to increase the city polico staff by 250 insu. It is proppso-1 to introduce a system of night patrol by plain-clothes officers in addition to the ordinary beats.
