TRAMWAYS DEPRECIATION.
DISCUSSION POSTPONED. Tho Tramways Committee reported to tho City Council last evening that it had considered the matter of tho Tnunwaye Depreciation Fund, and had to recommend <is follows.— "That tho sum of j<oo9 be set apart at once, in accordance with tho resolution passed by tho council on October «, "That in future the balance of tho depreciation fund used in the tramways undertaking bo debited with, interest at tho rate of 41 per cent, per annum. The Mayor asked that the matter shciud be allowed to stand over in order that he plight obtain some further information in regard to it. Councillor Smith (chairman of the «rai< inittee) said that ho had no objection, and tho discussion was postponed according-
