Jensen. £W per annum. -Application!: as follow were referred to the clerk of works for report:—Martinborough, septic, tank; Tane. septic tank; Carterton, coke stoves;, Petone, grcenhouse for uso in connection with rural course. An application for a gas installation at Mastertnn School, declined by the T'inanco Committee, was referred back to the commillpo fo" further consideration. GENERAL. To ensure a more thorough inspection of works in progress, the board's foreman is to be provided with a motor cycle. Tho Kketahmia and l'linimertou Schools are to be roofed with asbestos tiles. An application for n.grant for the aid-1 ed school at -Mara was referred to the inspector for the necessary action, while a request for an aided reliool at Castiepoint was referred to the inspector for a report on the merits of tho case. An additional grant of .£3" Bs. was received from the Government in aid of the school at Tablelands. , It was resolved with regard to the following sites. — MHchelltown.—Year to year lease to bo approved, of area of Town Belt adjoining Hitchelltown School. Levin.—(a) Lesseo to be allowed three months to pay off the balance owing; (b) Mr. Smith to be allowed the uso of unoccupied sections during tho pleasure of the board at Is. per week. Silverstream and Nireahn Exchange.—Matter to 1)c referred to the board's solicitors. The chairman was authorised to execute the following:—llatahiwi, transfer trustees Jlatnhiwi Estate to board; AVaihcanga, Klkiugton . to board (transfer); Levin, lease of board's subdivision to (a) Smith, (l>) Jlitehings, Hankins and Co., (c) liulliniau Bros.
