An application for a gas installation at Mastertnn School, declined by the T'inanco Committee, was referred back to the commillpo fo" further consideration. GENERAL. To ensure a more thorough inspection of works in progress, the board's foreman is to be provided with a motor cycle. Tho Kketahmia and l'linimertou Schools are to be roofed with asbestos tiles. An application for n.grant for the aid-1 ed school at -Mara was referred to the inspector for the necessary action, while a request for an aided reliool at Castiepoint was referred to the inspector for a report on the merits of tho case. An additional grant of .£3" Bs. was received from the Government in aid of the school at Tablelands. , It was resolved with regard to the following sites. — MHchelltown.—Year to year lease to bo approved, of area of Town Belt adjoining Hitchelltown School. Levin.—(a) Lesseo to be allowed three months to pay off the balance owing; (b) Mr. Smith to be allowed the uso of unoccupied sections during tho pleasure of the board at Is. per week. Silverstream and Nireahn Exchange.—Matter to 1)c referred to the board's solicitors.
