QUEENSLAND ELECTIONS. By TeleßTSDn—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, April 30. The. Hon. A. Griffith (Minister for Public Works), interviewed on the result of the Queensland elections, said he was not surprised at Labour's failure. "If a section of the community," he said, "declares war ngninst (he general public and trios to starve it out, it is only naturnl to expect tho public to hit back. That is what has happened in South Australia and Queensland, and if a general strike was organised in Sydney just prior to the elections our party would get rubbed put." TASMANIAN ELECTIONS. Hobart, April 30. Exceptional interest is being taken in tho General Elections to-day. Socialism is the main issue.
