WOMEN'S TEMPERANCE UNION
On Monday evening members of the "Y" branch held tin "at home" in tho renins nf the Y.W.C.A. Mrs. Evans, president, was hostess, and welcomed tho visitors Miss Birch, secretary of tho Y W C.A., extended a welcome on behalf of' the society. A good programme vas provided by Mr. Billmans' Glee Party, nnd a competition, arranged by Miss Whitcomb, was won by Miss JJnft, who wa=. presented with a small book of poems. Anions those present were: Mpsdames Uoxall and IlouUlcr, representing the Distiict Union, end Mesdames llclyer and Gi-iffen, from (he Central l T nnm. Supper was «crved by the ynuiiu lady members of the "i"" Union, nnd an enjoyable evenins; wns closed by the singing of tho Temperance- Do.iology.
