A new four-storied building, "at tho corner of Edward and Jlary Streets, occupied by tho tjueenslaud Agency as a wholesale dry goods store, was destroyed by h'ro. The dnmngo is estimated at ,£45,000, and is covered by insurance. A number of mim-o'-wnrsmcn from the gunboat Gnyundnli were standing on the roof of an iidjoiuing building assisting tho brigade, when a part of tho wall fell on thorn. Walter Oldhain was killed, and Alexander Smith injured.
