The employees of independent manufacturing concerns in Zion City, Illinois, attacked a group of three hundred men ami women engaged at prayer meeting, and clubbed them. Aluuy were seriously injured. 111-feeling had developed for weeks past in consequence of the establishment of the independent concern in the midst of the Dowieites, who sought to keep the city to themselves. As a protest against tho employees using tobacco, the Zionists had been holding prayer meetings in the factories, thus infuriating the workers.
