Tho Education Board's opinion, voiced by members at considerable length, centred upon two points: First, that there was no need for disturbing the present system of local government so far as the administration of education was concerned; and, second, that tho method of proceeding in connection with tho appointment of delegates was such as gave the board no direct, assurance that education would be represented at tlio main conference at nil. Eventnally it was decided that the chairman of the board (Mr. Bobt. Lμ) and Mr. Wm. Allan should represent tho board at the election of delegates, and that tho Wairarapa Hospital Board bo telegraphed to on the subject of representation, it having been stated that educational interests had beeu ignored by that body.
