MISS CARRIE MOORE.
Miss Carrie Moore, who is to appear at the Theatre Royal on Monday roxt, May G, has many amusing experiences to relate. Not tho least amusing of theso occurred two years ago in Liverpool, when she y.-a.s rehearsing to play tho title role in "Dick Whittington." , The annual police concert was to tako placo in tho theatre, while it was closed for rehearsals, and Miss Moore's assistance was asked and readily granted, and a rehearsal with the police band was arranged. Something, however, occurred to delay Miss Moore, who lived some three miles out of town, and finding that she was late she told her chauffeur to be as quick as possible, instructions which he obeyed with such a will that within fivo minutes her car w.--stopped by a policeman. Miss Moore then explained that she was going to a police band rehearsal, and was late. This was sufficient, and never again during a season of sixteen weeks was her a\ stopped. ________.»
