ELECTRIFYING WHEAT SEED.
AUSTRALIAN TRIALS. Some few years ago a farmer in South Australia electrified some wheat seed prior to sowing, and the results showed an appreciable incren'sc as compared with the yield from grain not so treated. In ]°0S ,i farmer at Werris Creek had sufficient wheat heated in this manner to sow four acres of land. When it was harvested the electrified ivhc.it panned out at. a trifle over fofir bushels to the acre more than the adjoining "wheat, which was not electrified. The same person who treated that wheat is now reported to 1)3 trying the experiment again on a farmer's land near Eumiingerie.
