At tonight's meeting of the Southland Rugby Union, this following resolution was unanimously carried:—"That this union heartily approves of tho notices of motion to be brought forward by the Hawke's Bay Union at the annual general meeting of (he Council of the N.Z.U.P.. in reference to the Alteration nf (he rules dealing with professionals, and a!so cancelling the affiliation to the English Union."' It was resolved to instruct the Southland delegates to the annual meeting of the New Zealand Union heartily to support Uie measures.
