The. apostle of the "New Evangel" (Mr. Fowlds) has allied himself with tho principles and aspirations of the now United Labour party. , Tho former Minister lor Education in the Ward Government gave (i definite indication of his position in national politics in his speech at last evening's Labour meeting in the Town Hall. "1 have waited for sonic twenty or thirty years," said Jlr. Fowlds, "for a truly progressive party to evolve in New .Zealand. I Jeff the Cabinet with (lie idea of precipitating just such a parly as is now evolving out of tho industrial and political unrest."
