SUMMARY AND FORECAST. The Government Meteorologist forecasts unfavourable weather for to-day. The southerly, gale which raged yesterday brought with it the first real b'te of winter. Tlic present conditions .ire 01pected to continue throughout today, and in most parts of the country. DISTRICT REPORTS. (From Our Special Correspondents.) Feilding, April 28.—Saturday: Heavy rain, high wind, and cold stormy night. Sunday: Cold showers, boisterous day; occasional showers. Palmerston. April 28.—Saturday: Strong northerly wind and rain.all day. Sunday: Cold wind, with rain threatening. Shannon, April 27.—Black and cold weather. Otnki, April 27.—Du1l and cold. Fefltherston, April 27,—Westerly gale, with indications for rain. ,\tast.?rton, April 23.—A heavy southeasterly gale was experienced here to-day.
