THE WEATHER.
SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications arc for a rising barometer everywhere with southerly winds, strong to gale, cold, and changeable weather. Heavy showers in most parts and snow on higher levels. Barometric pressure is still everywhere considerably below normal, and cold and stormy weather hits been experienced in many part 3, but especially on the West Ooa3t and in the northern and southernmost districts. High westerly and southwesterly winds have prevailed. Much snow has fallen on higher levels in the south. V. C. BATES. Meteorological Office, Wellington, April 26, 1912.
