DEATH AT THE GAOL. James Burke, who had been committed at Mount Cook Police Station, died at the Terrace Gaol yesterday morning. Ho had just been conveyed to the prison when lie expired. He was C 3 years of age, and followed the occupation of a labourer. An inquest concerning his death is to be held at tho morgue at 9.30 this morning. BOY INJURED. Joseph H. Geyser, a boy of 14 years, who resides in Pitt Street, Wadestown, had his thigh broken at Odim's timber mill yesterday through a piece of timber, which fell off a truck, .striking him. ]!e is at present in tho public hospital.
