LOSS OF THE KOOMBANA.
NAUTICAL INQUIRY OPENS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Rec. April 27, 1.5 a.m.) Perth, April 27. The Marine Court opened its inquiry into the loss of iho Kooinbana. Captain Upjohn, of tho steamer Bullarra, in his evidence, stated that ho noticed when the Koombana was leaving Port Headland sho was in particularly good trim, and remarked upon the fact. The only explanatiou that he could offer ■was that the Koombana was smashed by the force of a cyclone. It was impossiblo for her to turn turtle.
