O'Dca and Dixon), in discussing the question of endowments with the Premier called forth some plain speaking at: last night's meeting of the Wanganui Beard. "There seems to ho a reign of calumny and vituperation against the Wanganui Education Hoard," said Mr. O'Dea. "I feel very strongly over the Taranaki Board's reference to" what (hey term the contemptible aclion of Mr. Dixon and myself in interviewing the Hon. T. Mackenzie, and their insinuations that we are taking part in a sort of back-door business." They had only taken time by the forelock in interviewing the Priino Minister, and their action was necessary, in view of the fact that fine reserves would be lost unless something was done very soon.
