Mr. Asquith has appointed Mr. BonhamCarter to succeed Mr. Caughan Nash, who retired from the position of private secretary to the Prime Minister on appointment as vice-chairman of the Development Commission. To fill the vacancy consequent on this change, tho Prime Minister has appointed the Hon. James Eric Drummond, of the Foreign Office, to bo ouo oi his private secretaries.
