Two firemen wero dismissed, and the others decided to strike a few minutes after getting under way. The vessel anchored in the harbour. OBITUARY. Hobart, April 25. Captain More, a well-known African explorer and missionary, is dead. SOUTH AUSTRALIAN ARTISTS. London, April 24. Messrs. Giles, Mynes, and Martin, of Adelaide, have received awards from the Royal Drawing Society. PROTRUDING HATPINS. Sydney, April 25. Four ladies have been fined ss. each for wearing dangerously protruding hatpins. These were the first prosecutions under tho now by-law. I BURGLAR SENTENCED. Sydney, April 25. In connection with tho recent burglaries, a man named Richmond has been sentenced to seven years' imprisonment on each of fourteen charges, the sentences to be concurrent.
