The ceremony was performed by the Veil. Archdeacon i'ancourt. assisted by the Key. Joshuii Jones, ill'. Vivian Kirtdiford gave his sister away, and tho bridegroom was attended by Mr. l''rank Logan, as l>ost mail, and by Mi'. Arthur Hewitt and Mr. Earle liiddiford (cousins of the bride) as groomsmen. Tho gown worn bv the bride was of white satin with silver lace, veiled with net, and a. tulle veil and wreath of orange blossoms. Iter bouquet w.is of white hothouse roses, stephanotis, and maiden hair fern, fastened with long satin streamers. Tho bridesmaids were Miss Xgaire Hiddiford (sister of the bride), Miss Phyllis Sedgwick (sister of the bridegroom), Miss Iniwa Bunny (cousin of the bride), and Miss Judith I'lirdy, all of whom were in frocks of shot mauvo and pink silk, veiled with ninon and trimmed with lace, and black hats with pink plumes. They wcie their gifts from the bridegroom—enamel and pearl pendants and neck chains—and carried silvermounted mauvo empire sticks, to which wero fastened bouquets of pale pink roses, mauvo freesias, and autumn foliage. Two little girls and two little boys were also in,attendance upon tho bride, the former being Jocelyn Jfiddiford (nieco of tho bride), and Ernia Cooper (a cousin), and tho latter Stewart and j\lichel_ Lindsay (nephews of the bride). The little girls wero in very, dainty frocks of pink, with black hats trimmed with pale pink roies, and they carried little granny posies of fairy roses and mauvo freesias. Hie little pages wore cream satiu breeches and pink shirts. The brido's gift to tho bridegroom was a miniature of herself, and from him slio leceivod a neck slide of diamonds, and pearls. . After tho ceremony a reception was held at Fern Grovo by Mrs. liiddiford. Very beautiful indeed were the flowers ■with which tho various rooms and the hall wero decorated. In tho drawingroom pale pink Betty roses, autumn foliage, and violets were everywhere to be seen, one mantelpiece being banked with theso doners, while tho other ono was decorated with mauve aster daisies and autumn foliage. In tho dining-room, where speeches were made and toasts honoured, were again to bo seen autumn foliage, i'oses, and violets. The health of tho bride and bridegroom was proposed by Mr. H. D. Hell, K.C., to which the bridegroom responded, and other speeches followed. Mrs. Hiddiford wore a graceful black gown trimmed with brocaded black panne and a black plumed hat. She carried a bouquet of violets. Mrs. Lindsay was in a frock of pale blue charmense, with a tunic of lace and a blue and cream velvet hat; her bouquet was of gloxineas of the colour of old rose. Mrs. ]). G. Hiddiford wore a gown of black lace over white silk, with gold embroideries on the bodice, and also showing through tho lace veiling the skirt; she wore a black and gold hat. Mrs. Vivian Hiddiford was in a very handsome gown of white lace, oyer which she wore a long coat of ermine fur, and a large hat with white ostrich plumes; her bouquet was of crimson roses and stophunotis. Mrs. Willis (annt of tho bride, Kangitikei) wore a gown of .black charmense, trimmed with gold embroideries, and a pink bonnet; -Miss Willis, white costume, and pink and green hat; Mrs. Hewitt (aunt of the bride, Palmerston North) was in black and white, with a black and white toque, and she carried a bouquet if salmoncoloured roses and autumn foliage; Mrs. Lane (Marton) wore a very pretty gown of oyster grey charmense, with cream laco yoke, and black hat with plumes; Miss Lane, white muslin frock, and pink hat; Mrs. Gordon, grey-blue gown, and becoming hat to correspond; Miss Hewitt (Palmerston North), white frock and black hat with crimson roses; Mrs. Newman, blue coat and skirt, with bodico of gold tissue veiled with chiffon, and a black velvet Napoleon hat with white and black feathers; Mrs. Fitzgerald, black costume, withi »old embroideries, and black plumed hat; Mrs. W. Bunny (Wairarapa), green costume and hat en suite; Mrs. Foster-Pratt (Palmerston), black coal and skirt and black hat; Mrs. Orliiond Cooper (Masterton), pretty brown frock, and black velvet hat, trimmed with brown fur; Mrs. Deans (Canterbury)! .bronze preen costume, and black plumed hat; Miss Cooper, blue frock and black hat with blue plumes. There were also present: Mrs. H. M. Bectham and Miss Beethani (Wairarapa), Miss Lilian Izard, Mr l .. H. Crawford, Mi.ss Kebbell, Mrs. and Miss Fitzherbert, Mr. and Mrs. John Duncan, and Miss Duncan, .Mr. Tolhurst, Mrs. Sydney Johnston (Hawke's Bay), Miss Skerrctt, Mr. R. Turnbull, Mr. and Mrs. A. do Bathe Brandon and Miss Brandon, Mrs. Collins, Mrs. Jacob Joseph, Mr. Harold 8011, M.P., and many others. Tho bride travelled in a cream costume, over which was worn a long cream coat, ermine furs, and;a black velvet toque. A small dmico took place, at Fern Grove in the evening. Miss Murray, Willis Street, mado the bridal bouquets, and was also responsible for the floral decorations in connection with the weddins. Wedding at St. Mark's, At St. Mark's Church yesterday afternoon, Miss Florence Powell, daughter o: Mr. F. VV. Powell, of tho Bank of New South Wales, Wellington, was married t Mr. Leslie Goldfinch, of tho staff ol Messrs. Levin and Co. The Kev. G. Y. Woodward, of Foxton, brother-in-law of the bride, officiated, assisted by the Kev. C. F. Askew. Miss Marjorie Barnicoat, of Palmerston North, was bridesmaid, and Mr. Victor Hyams best man. There was a large attendance of friends at the church, and nfterwards a reception was held at the brido's late residence, Mavaama Crescent. There was a large number of presents given Hie bride and bridegroom, who have a large circle of friends. The presents include a valuable set of cutlery from the staff of Levin : Co. The bridegroom's present to t.ho bride was a beautiful diamond ring, and tho bridesmaid received a handsome bracelet. Mr. Lawrence Watkins played tho Wedding March as the wedding party left tho church.

The Arts Club opens it season next Monday by giving an evening, at whicli Mr. Jonn Baillie will be tho guest ofhonour, ' Mrs. Wittels, who has been very ill lately, is progressing favourably. Mr, and Mrs. F. Andrews were tho guest's of honour at an evening given in tho New Century Hall by Captain and Mrs. Lambert last night, to mark the occasion of their home-coming. Recitations, songs, a clarionet solo, and a step dance entertained those present, as well as general dancing.
