The scene between. Mistress Ford "and Misstress Page was particularly good, na was also the scene between Fiilstaff and Ford. Mr. W. I!, Boclc as Falstaff was distinctly good, as was Miss Holmes ill.; the part of Mistress Quickly, sbrvaut to - Dr. Caius. Miss Reading as Aline Pago ruso to the occasion, acquitting herself very well indeed. Mr. Leo. Buckeridgo, as Sir Hugh Evans, Mr. W. Godfrey, as Ford, and Mr. E. S. Baldwin (Dr. Caius) also gave very satisfactory readings. Tho remaining characters were taken as fol-low-.—Fen ton, (a gentleman), bv Mr. F. A. Morris; Dr. Caius, Mr. E. S. Baldwin; Shallow (a country justice), Mr. E. D. Cachemaillc; Slender (cousin to Shallow), Mr. K. ]•!.. Shorney; Page, Mr. W. D.. . Gorham; Host of (110 Garter Inn, Mr. H. Breakspeare j Bardolpli. Mr. T. D. Kendall; Pistol, Mr. 0. W. Tanner; Nyiu, Mr. W. Lewis; Simple, Mr. H. l?ox;" Rugby. Mr. W. Lewis; Mistress Ford, Miss Van Stavercn; Mistress Pa?e, Mrs. J. Darling; Anne Pago, Miss Heading.'" The comedy was stage managed and rehearsed under the direction of Mr. JI. E.
