THE BINGARA TRAGEDY.
BALL SENTENCED TO DEATH. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. April 24, 1 a.m.) Sydney, April 24. Ball, who was arrested on a charge of murdering his wife at Biugnra has been sentenced to death. Ball and his wife were recent arrivals from England, aiul wero temporarily left in charge of Mack's Selection. On Mack returning ho found the house open, and no one about. A search disclosed the remains of a fire in the bush, in which were the remains of a woman's clothing, a'charred kg and skull and other bones. Ball was arrested on board tho steamer Star of Scotland, lying in Sydney Harbour. He had secured a billet as trimmer. Ball worked his passage to Australia previously, and utilised tho discharge he then obtained in securing the position.
