AUCKLAND AND AMALGAMATION. At present there aro three large and independent bowling associations in New Zealand—tho New Zealand Association, which has its headquarters in Dimcdiu and controls tho ganio in Canterbury, Otago, and Southland; tho Northern Association, with jurisdiction over a large portion of the North Island; and Hit. Auckland Association, which controls 3G clubs situated from Whangarei in the north to Opotiki in the south-east and To Kuili in the south, and with which is aililiatcd the South Auckland Association. Recently (says tho Auckland 'Herald ) a proposal made some considerable tim<ago for the amalgamation of _ the three bodies into a Dominion Association was advanced considerably, and to tho executive of the New Zealand Association was referred the task of drafting a constitution and rules for the government of the suggested Dominion Association. That executive, lias completed the work east upon it, and tko draft constitution and rules wero .laid before a well-attended meeting of delegates to tlie Auckland Association in tho Chamber of Commerce rooms lost week. After discussion as to the best procedure to adopt in the matter, it was decided to have tho draft printed and sent to the different clubs under the association's jurisdiction.
