The following is Mr. Newton Kinj's weekly report:—On Friday, 12th, at inv Wahvakaiho yards, there was a good yarding and attendance. Bidding throughout was dull. Mixed weancrs, .€1 3s. to £1 5i.; weaiier cteers, £1 Is.; fifteen to twentymonths heifers, in calf, £3 6s. to £3 1"-'.; poor, £2 12s. u> £2 18s. 6d.; empty heifers, ' £3 Es. 6d.; fifteen-months steers, poor, £2; store cows, £1 17s. 6d. to £3 £s. 6d.- furward cows, £3 6s. to £3 155.; fat eows, £4 14s. to £4 16s. 6d.; cows, in niilli, £3 Is. to £5 7s. 6d.; cows, late calvers and poor, £2 12s. 6d. to £4 17s. 6d.; bullocks, £4 195.; bull. £1 16s. to £3 75.: fat lambs, 10s. 6d.; lambs, good, 6s. Bd.; f.m. ewes, 4s. 6d. At Urcnui on Holiday I had a fair entrv of cattle, the demand being best for steer:; and good store and forward cows. Mixed wcaners, £1 ss. 6d.; wcaner heifers, £1 4s. 6d.: weaner steers. 14s to £1 25.; tv.eiityinonths steers, £3 to £3 10s.; poor, £2 6".i. 6d.; two to two and a half-year sttcri. £3 16s. to £4 12s. 6d.; twenty-months heifers, £3 ss. to £4 (according to quality); three and a half-year bullocks, £5 75.; bulls, £2 15s. to £3 155.; Btore cows, £2 125. to £3 11s.; forward cows, £3 16s. to £4 45.; fat heifers and cows. £5 45.; cows and calves, £4; dairy cows, £4 10s. to £4 15s. At Toko on the same day there was only a small yarding, which sold as follows-.—Store cows, £2 19s. to.£3 145.; small, £2 5?. 6d. ; eighlocn-months heifers. 1t.W.8., £3 35.; yearling bull, £1 15s. 6d.; bulls. £1 155.; llftoen-months steers, £2 6s. Bd.; wennev heifers, £1 Bs.; lambs. 4*. In my Stratford yards on Tuesday, there was a big yarding of stock, ai!o a very large attendance. Buyers were present from' all parts of Taranaki, and there was n> good deirand for all classes, especially for good three and a half-year bullocks and store cows , . The last draft, of 80 odd bullocks from the Nukuhakere Station, were of excellent ciuality, and met with good competition, realising £6 ss. and £6 75.; good we.inera sold at improved rates. Prices realised were:—Mixed weaners, best, £1 4s. 6d. to £1 9s. 6d.; poor, IBs. to £1 Is. 6d.; weaner heifers, £1 13s. to £2 10s.; twenty-months heifers, in calf, £3 Is. to £3 2s. 6d.; twoyear heifers, small, £3 11s. to £3 165.: stags, £3 7s. 6d.; twenty-months steers, £2 2?. 6d. to £2 10s.; two-year steers, £4: three and a half-year bullocks, £6 75., £6 55., £5 155., £5 55., £5 35.. £5 25.; store cows, fR Bs. to £3 35.; forward cows, £3 11s. to £4 Is.: fat cows. £5 U. to £5 195.; bulls, £2 25.; cows, in milk, £6 2s. 6d.; sprinijius l'eifer?. £6 10s. At Stony River on Wednesday I had a small yarding, but a good attendance and demand, practically everything being cleared at the hammer at the following rates:—Jersey weaner heifers, £1 3s. 6d.; twenty-months steers, £2 9s. to £3 7s. 6d.; two-year steers, £4; twenty-months heifers, in calf, small, £3 Is.; two and a-half-year in-calf heifers, £5 55.; store cows, £2 to £3 Is.; forward cows, £3 Bs. to £4 55.; bulls. £1 ss. to £3 165.; dairy cows, £4 ss. to £5/
