MISSISSIPPI FLOODS.
RIVER DIKES BREAK. Pj Toleeraptt-Fress Aseociatlon-HCopyrlih* ,(Reo. April 21, 5.5 p.m.) New York, April 21. The dikes on the Mississippi Eiver have broken near Beulah, about 100 miles below Memphis. A heavy volume of water swept over the country, and many persons were drowned. One report places the number of the dead,at two hundred, but this cannot be .verified under present conditions. ■ Six thousand refugees from the recent floods are still being maintained in camps by public charity.
