Mr. Massey .mil other visiting members of I'arliameiit will proceed north tomorrow.
BAXQI'KT TO MK. HOCIvLY. About oiiu hundred quests sat down to Mm complimentary baiiriiiet tendered to .Mr. J'. Jlockly by his political supporters and friends at Haetilu on Friday. Sir. Halter Jlnrris acted as cliuirmau. 'J'ho toast of "(Jur Guest," proposed )>y the chairman, was lcsponded to at 'some length by Mr. Hockly. Mr. T. Harris proposed (lie health of "Tlio Parliament of Now Zealand," to which Messrs. Newman and I). It. Gnthrie, M.lVs, responded. "Die Prosperity of tlio Waimarino Electorate," proposed by Mr. Newman, was responded to by the, county chairman, Mr. Harris. Mr. Houghton proposed tho toast of Mr. Hockly's committees, to which the- chairman replied. Other toasts on the list were: "The Farmers," proposed by Jlr. Powell, and responded to by Messrs. Pembevt-on and C'arvil; "Tho Ladies," proposed by Mr. Macßae, to which Miss Kennedy replied, and "The Press," proposed by Jlr. Mitchell, uud responded to by tho editor of the "County Call."
