The body of Mr. Patrick Keeean, Eonr., who had been missing from Wanganul East since April 3, was found floating in the river et Castlecliff this morning. An inquest is to be held. The Harbour Board had another Ion? discussion on harbour improvement last evening, and decided, in order to obviate delay, that after the passing of the Empowering, Bill, at once to open tentative negotiations with the dredge builders nt Homo for tho purchase of an up-to-date machine of lnrge size, also that the chairman and engineer inspect the new Lyttelton dredge,' and collect data to guide the board in the selection of the typo of dredge best suited for tho conditions obtaining here. The board also •■ofolvcd to a-lc tho Government to set up a Koyai Commission to define the rating area under tho proposed Empowering Bill, and to suggest to tho Government Hint the country members of tho board should nominate one member of tho commission to represent the country interests, and the town members another, to represent town interests, and that these two nominate a third member of the commission.
