A most enjoyable concert was given to (ho officers and men of 11.M.5. Encounter bv the Brooklyn Glee Club on Wednesday evening lust. Tho various solos and glees were of a very high order, and were much appreciated by tho largo and enthusiastic audience. Solos were contributed by Mesdames Free and M'Clellan, Miss "Randall, and Mr. Russell (pianoforte), and Miss G. llnssett, and Mr. M'Clellan contributed recitations, and Mesdames Free and Drower and Messrs. Willon and M'Clellan a quartet. The glees ami .choruses were excellently rendered bv the Glee Club, and the entertainment concluded with a most amusing farm entitled "A Quiet Cup of Tea,' given by Mesdames Free nml Gardiner, and Jlowrs. C. Russell nnd T. Coventry. •\ hearty expression of thanks was passed (.o tho GliM) Club by Captain Hickley, of the Knro.inter, nnd was suitably tolilied (o by tho club's conductor, Mr. M'Clellan Among thoso present wore Captain Hickley, Colonel Robin, and tho oliiecrs of tho Encounter and their friends.
