SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications arc for strong westerly winds, cloudy and unsealed weather, with rain on the West Coast and southward ot New Plymouth and Napier. The barometer has a falling tendency everywhere. The barometer has fallen everywhere with increasinE- cloudiness and humiditv! and shower" have fallen in a tow place's. Shannon, April 19.-Thin rain fell most of the day. Otaki, April 19— Showery; rainfall to 9 a.m., .20in. Feathcrston, April 19-Fftio, but dull. Grey town. April 19.-Snow still lies on the Tararuas. Tho air is keen, and the woathcr fine. Hastings, April 19—Frosty morning, followed by warm sunshine.
