THE RECORD OUTWARD CARGO.
(By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.) Wanganui, April ■ 17. Dr. .las. Rcid, for the past two rears medical superintendent of the Wanganui has resigned the position. It includes 16,a52 carcasses of mutton, 11,141 sheep, 750 bales of wool, 400 casks of tallow, and a considerable quantity of sundries.
During tho past month 127 patients have been treated at the Wanganui Hospital, 66 being admitted and 59 discharged. Tliei't, wore two deaths and CO patients are at present in the hospital. J he board to-day discussed certain irregularities in the ccnduct of the Taihape Cottage Hospital, particularly- the performance of operations there instead of sunning *ucli cases to Wnngamii. A drastic motion on (lie subject was lost in favour of an amendment calling the Tailuipr Committee's attention b Hkregulations-, and trusting that they be carried out in future.
