Athenic will not be dispatched from Wellington for London until 3 p.m. on Friday—a. day later than schedule time. ULIMAROA ARRIVES AT 6 P.M. A wireless message received from the Huddart-Pnrker steamer Ulimaroa, which i 3 en route from Sydney to Wellington, stated that the vessel would not arrive in port until 6 p.m. to-day. Sho berths at the Queen's Wharf, No. 1 south. At 10 p.m. tho vessel reported that, at a distance of 260 miles from Wellington, she was experiencing a moderate south-westerly gale and high ecu. WAKANUI'S MOVEMENTS. Last night the Sow Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Wakanui was to have left Oamaru for Picton, whero Homeward loading will be continued. The vessel aftenvards visits Waitarn, Wellington, Napier, Gisbornc, Tokoraaru Bay, and Auckland. She is due nt this port on April 24, and sails finally from Auckland on May 2.

Light winds and fair weather prevailed for the rest of the passage to Tenerill'e. which port was , reached at 5.35 p.m. uu .March 7. At 9.J3 p.m. ou the same day the Corintliic continued her journey to'Ciijie Town. Kino weather was experienced on tin? run down to the South African poi'i, where arrival was made at 0 n.m. on Mcueh 22. After embarking a large number of piifEeiiners in all classes the liner left for llobart at 6 a.m. on March 23, Exceptionally fine weather prevailed on the journey across the Southern Ocean, Hobart being made «t 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9. Departure for Wellington was taken at 6 a.m. on Friday la-:t, and, after a fine-wen'her passage across the Tasuian Sea, the Corintliic arrived at Wellington as stated above. Tho Corintliic has 5000 tons of general cargo to put out at this port before proceeding to Lyttelton on Saturday next. KENT LEAVES DURBAN. Advice received by the local agents for the F.-H.-S. Lino states that the steamer Kent, which is en route from Liverpool to Wellington, continued her journey from Durban on April 13. She is due at Wellington about May 21. CASE OIL FROM NEW YORK. Under charier to the Vacuum Oil Company, the steamer Dunelutha. is expected to leave New York for New Zealand ports any time now. She will bring 170,000 enses of oil, and will discharge at Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Lyttel;on, Timaru, and Dunedin, SHIP IXVERAVON REPORTED. When in latitude 44min. JBdeg. and longitude 153min. at 11.37 a.m. on April 9, R.M.S. Corintliic spoke the British ship Inveravon. The latter wished to he reported "AH well." Tho Inveravon left Wallaroo on March 31, wheat-laden, for the English Channel for orders. MESS TABLE GOSSIP. Mr. Tf. Soloman, late fourth officer of the Corintliic..was promoted a step at London, Mr. S. Ho.ll (late third) having joined the Navy for drill purposes. Mr. Dray, who is now fourth officer of the Corintliic, was on board the Federal liner American Transport before joining the White Star Line. About six years ago Mr. Dray was an officer on the Craig Line's sailer, Constance Craig, sailing out of Auckland. Dr. Pock is now surgeon on board the Corintliic, having relieved Dr. Curran. Br. Pock is making his ini.ial visit to New Zealand, the Corinthic being his first ship. Mr. Smith, who has charge of the Unio.n Company's coaling department, is away on leave. Captain Cameron, of the Pohcrua, is relieving Mr. Smith, and Captain J. Flynn, of the Kotuku, is relieving Captain Cameron. , Captain Christian is now acting master of the Kotukii. Mr. N. Salmon, second engineer of the Ripple, left the vessel at Wellington yesterday, and Mr. W. M'Keiuic relieved him. Mr. A. J. Xaylor has joined the Navua as second ofllcer, vice Mr. ]). Gregory. Mr. J. Cameron is now second ofllcer of the Komala. Mr. , L. Elley has relieved Mr. W. Aimers as third engineer of the Te Anau. Mr. R. Tregnrtha, who died at Wcstport last week, was for 25 years a lighthousekeeper in the service of the New Zealand Government, and for five years he was stationed at Capo Foulwind. Since his retirement he had carried on business in Westport. Mr. Tregurtha took a keen interea; in local affairs. Uo was a native of Cornwall, and 64 years old.
The schooner Joseph Kimms was placed on the slip at Port Chalmers yesterday for sighting, her prospective purchaser being Mr. Edwards, of Tasmania. Mr. Edwards is at present on a visit to Dunedin.

Arahura, s.s., arrived a 1 * Westport from Oi'cymoiith at 1 a.m. yesterday, and continued hur journey to Nelson, Picton, and Wellington at 9 a.m. She is expected to arrive in port early this evening.
Tho Union Company's collier Karori is due ,at Wellington from Wcstport to-day. The Koonj-a is due from the same port tomorrow. Last night tho Komata, cleared Wellington for Wcslport. and she will be followed by the Navua this morning. The Poherua leaves port for Grcymoutn this afternoon. AH three vessels return to Wellington with coal. It is expected that the steamer Himitaugi will be taken off the Patent Slip on Friday. The Neaherc will then occupy tho cradle. She will bo followed by the ltipple on Monday, and by the Tutanckai on Tuesday.
Latest charters include the barquca Joseph Craig, 694 tons, and Louisa Craig. 683 tons. Uotli vessels aro to take general cargo from Melbourne to Auckland.
