CONSECRATION OF BISHOPS.
TO TAKE PLACE IN WELLINGTON
Tho Anglican Primate of Now Zealand (Dr. Novill, Bishop of Dunodin), has informed tho Bishops-elect of Melanesia (tho l?er. 0. J. '.V'ood), and Nelson (the Kev. W. C. Sadlier) (liat (lio consecration of each is to tako place in Wellington on Thursday, July 25 (St. James's Day), assuming, ot course—and it may practically bo taken for granted—that the Standing 'Committees of each diocese will duly confirm tho nominations. Tho Archbishop of Canterbury in a recent letter to tho Primate states that tho Row C. .7. Wood appears to bo "exactly the man" they wero in search of for Melanesia. The Primate, assisted by tho other Now Zealand Bishops, will conduct Iho consecration service.
