SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications are for a, rising barometer everywhere, with westerly and southerly winds, stroDß to gale, and cold and EUowery weather generally. The barometer fell in the south until midnight, but has risen both in the north and south to-da-y. The weather has been showery on all the western coast and at time 3 elsewhere. Wajjffanul, April 16.—Strong westerly gale; showers in the morning; fairly fine in afternoon. Feilding, April 16—Very heavy cold wind all day; rain threatening at night. Palmcrston, April 16—A high northerly wind has prevailed all day. Indications tonight are threatening. Shannon, April 16.-The weather Is windy and cold. Featherston, April 16-Ovcrcast; indicntions for bad weather from southerly quarter. linstings. April IC.-Wenther dull, with patches uf ouiibhinc. Uarterton, April 16.—The weolher is fines, with a brpezu blowing, but there, nrc Indications for rain. llastertoii, April 10.—A heavv thunderstorm paswd over the district this evening.
