MINING NEWS.
WELLINGTON SHARE MARKET. Talismans were again weak yesterday, and tho difficulty is finding a cause for the weakness. From official sources it is ascertained that nothing has happened in the mine to depress the shares. One view that finds favour with somo people interested in mining is that tho average minim; speculator has been treated to a succession of panic saJcs. and has become extremely nervous. Tho slumping of Talismans emanated from Auckland, and the northerners appear to delight in strangling business. Tho sales recorded yoslcrday were as under:— Talisman, 435. 10d., 435. 9d., 435. ?d., 435. 9d., 435. 9(1. (first cajl); 435. 6d.. 435. 3d (second call). Waihi, 58?. 6(1. (first call).
