Land settlement would be pushed ahead, ami GOO,OOO acres of Crown lands would bo opened for settlement this month, and a million and a quarter before the end of the year. Altogether 18} million acres could bo made available. Tho Government intended to reintroduce tho Bill increasing tho salaries • f members of the Legislative Assembly to .£SOO a year.
