Hercus, manager of the ICniapoi Clothing Faotory, has submitted proposals to the Technical College for training cirls in handling the machinery of tho woollon ami clothing trades. He told tlie collcge board that the industry in Christchurch was on the verge of a crisis owing to the shoi'tago of hands. The board referred tho question to a committee.
