THRESHING MILLS IDLE,
• Reference has been made moro than once of lato to the shortage of grain sacks in the South Island tins season, and it appears from latest reports that the position is still far from satisfactory. The "L.vtteUon Times" of Thursday states that ns a result of the shortage several threshing mills in the Ashburton district have pulled in, and others will have to cease work from the same eauso this week.
